Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder for a Derby-based client. This temporary role starts immediately, pays £16.50 per hour, and runs Monday to Friday with standard daytime hours in a heavy engineering environment.

You should read and interpret engineering drawings, weld to spec, and perform grinding and fettling to achieve a high-quality finish. A full UK driving licence and access to your own car are essential.

Qualifications

Job Description

MIG/TIG WELDER.

Our client based in Derby is currently seeking an experienced welder to join their small team.

Our client stores and supplies scaffolding supplies around Europe. As a welder you will be working with goods on-site to get them cut and ready to go out dependant on clients specification.

Applicants will have:

• Strong engineering background with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/measurements.
• Experienced in MIG / TIG welding.
• Proficient in additional fabrication skills, including grinding and fettling, to ensure a high-quality finish.
• Comfortable working in a heavy engineering environment.

Duration: ONGOING ROLE WITH IMMEDIATE START.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: This role pays an impressive hourly rate of £16.50.

Working Hours: You will be working Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00 Monday to Thursday, then 08:00-16:00 Friday, these shifts involve a 1-hour unpaid break.
