Job summary

Venatu Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a client based in Gainsborough for an experienced Welder (MIG/TIG) to join their growing manufacturing operation.

Two shift patterns are available with immediate starts and a temporary-to-permanent pathway following a successful probation.

The role requires MIG/TIG welding, ability to read engineering drawings, attention to detail and the ability to work to production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous professional welding experience.
• Strong MIG/TIG welding skills.
• Ability to produce clean, consistent and accurate welds.
• Good understanding of welding processes and equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings would be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality.
• Reliable and punctual approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A current, up-to-date CV clearly demonstrating your welding experience.

Responsibilities

Job Description: Welder - MIG/TIG

Location: Gainsborough. Pay: £14.50 - £16.35 per hour. Immediate Starts Available. Temporary to Permanent Opportunity.

Venatu Recruitment Group are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Gainsborough for experienced Welders to join their growing manufacturing operation.

We have two shift patterns available, offering an excellent opportunity for skilled Welders looking for immediate work with the potential to secure a permanent position following successful completion of the probationary period.

Shift Patterns & Pay

Day Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Friday: 6:00am - 1:30pm
• £14.50 per hour

Afternoon/Night Shift

• Monday to Wednesday: 2:30pm - 1:00am
• Thursday: 2:30pm - 12:00am
• £16.35 per hour

The Role - Welder

As a Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components to the required specifications. You will need strong practical welding skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately within a busy manufacturing environment.

Your duties will include:

• MIG and TIG welding of components and assemblies.
• Reading and working from engineering drawings and welding specifications.
• Preparing materials and components prior to welding.
• Setting and adjusting welding equipment to achieve the required finish.
• Carrying out visual inspections of completed welds.
• Ensuring welds meet required quality and specification standards.
• Identifying and correcting welding defects where required.
• Using appropriate hand and power tools safely.
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area.
• Following all company Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.
• Working to production deadlines whilst maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

To be considered for the Welder position, you will need:

• Previous professional welding experience.
• Strong MIG/TIG welding skills.
