Job summary

Navantia UK is seeking a Level 2 Welding Inspector to join the Belfast Operations team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a background in fabrication and welding, with a current Level 2 certificate and CSWIP 3.1 / PCN Level 2 preferred, to support complex naval fabrication projects.

Responsibilities include visual inspection of welded joints, verification of weld prep, fit-up and dimensions, and maintaining weld traceability and quality documentation; BPSS clearance will be

Qualifications

• Proven experience in visual inspection of welded joints.
• Knowledge of welding procedures, drawings and standards.
• Experience with NDT coordination and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of welded joints before, during, and after welding operations.
• Verify weld preparations, fit-up, alignment, dimensions, and joint configurations.
• Inspect weld profiles, sizes, penetration, distortion and workmanship.
• Maintain weld traceability records and inspection logs.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and quality documentation.
