Job description

Welder Fabricator who is technically minded with the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, as well as interpret measuring devices, is required for a well-established company based in Bedworth, Coventry, West Midlands.

SALARY: £35,000 - £41,000 per annum + Overtime

LOCATION: Bedworth, Coventry, West Midlands (CV7)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Welder Fabricator who is technically minded, with the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, as well as interpret measuring devices.

As a Welder Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating components from drawings and performing welding operations to join components. Ideally, you will have experience in both MIG and TIG welding, as well as the ability to read fabricating drawings and use hand tools and other equipment to fabricate and assemble components.

Knowledge of a range of materials and processes is essential, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. The role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

DUTIES

• Operating welding equipment to join metal components
• Reading blueprints and drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
• Fabricating and repairing metal components and structures
• Inspecting finished welds to determine structural soundness
• Using a variety of welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and arc welding
• Using hand tools and grinding equipment to prepare materials for welding
• Carrying out routine maintenance on welding equipment

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Knowledge of welding techniques
• Ability to operate welding and fabricating machinery
• Ability to work with heavy steels up to 40mm (desired)
• Ability to use hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret measuring devices
