Job Opportunity: Fabricator/Welder

Fulcrum - Engineering, acting as an Employment Business, is proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer. We are recruiting personnel for clients in the Huntingdon, Sawtry, Wisbech, Peterborough, and March areas at all levels for highly skilled and experienced roles.

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Fabricator/Welder (TIG & MIG): Working on bespoke productions such as balconies, stairways, conveyor lines, tanks, etc. Ability to fabricate sheet, plate, tubing, frames, angles, boxes from drawings. Must weld to high standards, mainly using TIG, with MIG for mild steel. Use grinders and polishers to achieve mirror finishes, drill, and fit components as per drawings.
  2. Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder: Producing bespoke items like tundishes, chutes, hoppers, tables, guards, and platforms. Must work from drawings, using rollers, press, plasma, and tack welding techniques.
  3. Vessel/Tank Fabricator/Welder: Measuring, marking, developing materials mainly stainless steel sheet and plate, fabricating vessels, tanks, pipes from drawings. Using rollers, press, plasma, and tack welding.
  4. Plater Fabricator/Welder: Similar responsibilities as vessel fabricators, focusing on stainless steel and plate materials, ensuring work complies with drawings and specifications.
  5. Grinders/Polishers: Working on vessels, tanks, and pipelines, ensuring mirror finishes. Also assisting other trades with drilling, fitting, and fabrication tasks.
Qualifications and Hours

Qualifications: C&G NVQ Level 3 in Sheet Metal Work, Plating, or Welding. Hours: Mon-Fri, plus optional Sat and Sun work. Work location: Fab Shops & Sites, preferably within 20 miles of residence. Overtime may be available.

Contract Details

Duration: 13 to 26 weeks, with potential for long-term employment depending on workload. Pay rates vary based on skills and experience, with benchmarks from GBP 16 to GBP 22 per hour, potentially higher.
