Role:

Welder Fabricator (Permanent)

Salary:

£34,000 to £37,000 per annum, plus overtime (paid at x1.5 & x2.0) and benefits

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm (start & finish times negotiable)

Location:

Commutable from Birmingham, Lichfield, Tamworth, Derby, Coventry, Nuneaton, Burton upon Trent, Cannock and surrounding areas

We are recruiting a Welder Fabricator to work within a large manufacturing company at one of their leading automated factories. You will benefit from a friendly and loyal team of Engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Working on various fabrication / repair projects throughout the factory.
• Welding, MIG
• Working from engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
• Installation of parts, equipment, structures, etc., manufactured for specific sites.
• Assessing equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods.
• Assisting with maintenance and mechanical fitting and repair works as needed.
• Welding of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Sourcing materials from stock, marking, and cutting.
• Cutting materials using flame cutting, plasma cutter, band saws, guillotine, hacksaws.
• Forming materials into shapes using rollers and brake press.
• Drilling holes with pillar drills and pistol drills.
• Ensuring proper fitting and alignment of parts.
• Following safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE.

Requirements:

• Qualified in Welding / Fabrication
• Experience in Fabrication and Welding, MIG
• Experience in small / large fabrications
• Some Welding experience - Arc and Mig preferred
• Physically fit and proactive
