Job summary

Holt Engineering is seeking a TIG Welder to join its Downton manufacturing team. You will TIG-weld thin-wall tubes and fabrications, working with stainless steel and aerospace-grade materials to exacting standards and tight tolerances.

You will read drawings, assemble components and contribute to a culture of quality and process improvement. The role offers a 4-day week and overtime, with structured training and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a TIG Welder or Welder Fabricator with precision standards.
• Strong TIG welding on thin-gauge materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Solid attention to detail and quality control.

Responsibilities

• TIG weld thin-wall materials and tube assemblies to a high standard.
• Manufacture and assemble precision fabricated components from engineering drawings.
• Work with stainless steel and specialist alloys.
• Produce high-integrity welds meeting strict quality requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.
• Carry out fabrication, fitting and assembly work as required.

Pay: £18.90ph - £21.09ph

Location: Downton

Overview

• TIG weld thin‑wall tube, pipework and fabricated assemblies to exceptionally high standards.
• Work with stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, Inconel and other specialist aerospace‑grade materials.
• Manufacture precision components used in highly regulated engineering sectors.
• Join a growing manufacturer with long‑term contracts, ongoing investment and a strong order book.
• Develop your skills through structured training, progression opportunities and regular overtime.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• TIG weld thin‑wall materials and tube assemblies to a high standard.
• Manufacture and assemble precision fabricated components from engineering drawings.
• Work with stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, Inconel and other specialist alloys.
