Job summary

Siamo Group Ltd in Melton Mowbray is seeking an experienced welder fabricator to join our workshop team. You will use MIG and TIG welding, read engineering drawings, and fabricate metal structures to tight tolerances.

This temp-to-perm role offers stable hours Monday to Friday and opportunities for on-site deployment. A full driving license is required and you will work both in workshop and on site.

Qualifications

• Proven welding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Proficient with hand and power tools; driving licence required.
• Basic maths for measurements and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
• Operate welding equipment primarily MIG and TIG; MMA experience helpful.
• Use hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
• Work in both workshop and on-site fit-out as required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality.

Welder Fabricator
Melton Mowbray, LE14
£16.00 - £19.00 Per hour

We are looking for an experienced fabricator/welder to join our established client based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. You will be skilled in using various tools and materials to achieve required finishes. The role involves mechanical knowledge with the capability to read technical drawings, ensuring high-quality assembly and fabrication of components.

Hours/Days of Work

Monday to Friday 08:00am 16:30pm

Rates of Pay

£16.00 - £19.00 Per Hour With Overtime available at competitive rates.

Duties:

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
• Operate welding equipment primarily in both MIG and TIG Welding - any experience in MMA Welding would also be beneficial.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
• Able to perform both in the workshops and fit out on site.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality.

Required for the Role:

• Proven experience in welding and fabrication is essential.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Full driving license required.

This is a temp to perm role, offering a permanent contract following a successful 13 week temp period.
