Job summary

Welder Fabricator role in Leeds for a growing structural steel engineering and manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will have MIG and TIG welding experience and can fabricate from detailed drawings.

You will work on structural steel components with materials from 5mm to 20mm+, using a range of hand and power tools. The role offers an early finish on Fridays and progression opportunities within a secure team.

Due to continued growth and a strong order book, we are currently recruiting a skilled Welder Fabricator with MIG and TIG welding experience to join this well-established organisation based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

This Leeds-based employer is easily commutable from Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities of the Welder Fabricator

• Performing high-quality MIG and TIG welding on structural steel components.
• Fabricating structural steelwork from detailed engineering drawings.
• Reading and interpreting technical engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Working with structural steel sections, plate and sheet material.
• Using a variety of hand and power tools to manufacture finished products.
• Working with material thicknesses ranging from 5mm to 20mm+.

Working Hours of the Welder Fabricator

• Monday to Thursday: 07:30am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 07:30am – 12:30pm

We Would Be Keen to Speak with Candidates Who Possess:

• Previous experience working as a Welder Fabricator within a structural steel, manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proven MIG and TIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

In Return, the Welder Fabricator Will Receive:

• £15.50 – £17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Early finish every Friday.
• Overtime paid at premium rates.
