Job summary

Welder Fabricator position with a structural steel fabricator. You will produce bespoke mild steel fabrications from drawings such as access platforms, walkways, stairways, safety rails and chutes. Role includes MIG/MMA welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting and potential installations.

Hours are Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm with overtime. Basic £40K, OTE £42K–£50K. Benefits include 33 days annual leave and pension. NVQ or C&G in welding and fabrication preferred; time-served fabricators considered.

Qualifications

• Experience fabricating mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel structures.
• Able to fabricate from CAD drawings and follow fabrication drawings.

Job description

Our client is an established structural steel fabricator and due to their continued success Staffbase have be appointed to recruit for the position of Welder Fabricator.

Basic £40K + OT (OTE £42K - £50K)

The Role

You will be responsible for producing bespoke mild steel fabrications from drawings e.g. access platforms, walkways, stairways, safety rails / barriers / hoppers / chutes and more.

• Mig / MMA welding & fabrication from drawings
• Tig welding
• Use of plasma cutting tools
• Use of tool-room equipment as required
• Occasional assistance with installations

Candidate

The successful candidate will be an experienced welder fabricator who is capable of fabricating mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel structures.

You must be able to fabricate from CAD drawings and you will be proficient in cutting, welding, burning, fitting, hard metals and surface grinding activities.

Ideally you will have a NVQ or C&G qualification in welding and fabrication however time served fabricators will be considered.

Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm +OT
