Job summary

Staffbase Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a busy steel fabrication team in Leicestershire. You will produce bespoke mild steel fabrications from drawings such as access platforms, walkways, stairways, safety rails and hoppers.

The role involves MIG/MMA welding from drawings, plasma cutting, and using tool-room equipment. Applicants should be able to fabricate from CAD drawings and work with mild, aluminium and stainless steels.

Qualifications

• Fabricate from CAD drawings and from drawings for bespoke mild steel fabrications.
• Proficient in cutting, welding, burning, fitting and surface grinding.
• NVQ or C&G qualification preferred; time served considered.

Responsibilities

• Produce bespoke mild steel fabrications such as access platforms, walkways, stairways and rails.
• MIG/MMA welding and fabrication from drawings.
• Occasional assistance with installations and use of shop equipment.

Job description

Our client is an established structural steel fabricator and due to their continued success Staffbase have be appointed to recruit for the position of Welder Fabricator.

The Role:

You will be responsible for producing bespoke mild steel fabrications from drawings e.g. access platforms, walkways, stairways, safety rails / barriers / hoppers / chutes and more.

• Mig / MMA welding & fabrication from drawings
• Use of plasma cutting tools
• Use of tool-room equipment as required
• Occasional assistance with installations

Candidate:

The successful candidate will be an experienced welder fabricator who is capable of fabricating mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel structures.

You must be able to fabricate from CAD drawings and you will be proficient in cutting, welding, burning, fitting, hard metals and surface grinding activities.

Ideally you will have a NVQ or C&G qualification in welding and fabrication however time served fabricators will be considered.

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm +OT

Benefits:

• Excellent hourly rate of pay £19 per hour
• Gross earnings £42K - £50K
• Overtime available in the week and Saturdays
• 33 days annual leave
