Job summary

Talented People is recruiting an experienced Welder Fabricator for our Glasgow workshop. You will work from engineering drawings to fabricate and weld components to exacting standards, using MIG and TIG where required.

This is a Monday-to-Friday, day-shift role with a salary up to £35,000 per year plus overtime. You will join an established team in Glasgow and contribute to delivering high-quality fabrication projects on time.

Job Specification: Welder Fabricator

Location: Glasgow

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum + Overtime at 1.5x

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a busy team based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday position with a competitive salary of up to £35,000, plus overtime paid at time and a half.

The successful candidate will be confident working from engineering drawings, carrying out fabrication work, and producing high-quality welds to meet required specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fabrication and welding duties to a high standard.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Measure, mark out, cut, form and assemble metal components.
• Perform welding using appropriate processes, such as MIG and/or TIG, depending on project requirements.
• Ensure all work meets quality, safety and production standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines and production targets.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a fabrication and welding role.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Competent in relevant welding techniques, ideally MIG and/or TIG.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of workshop health and safety procedures.
