Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled HGV Welder / Fabricator to join a Glasgow depot. This hands-on, workshop-based role focuses on high-quality fabrication and structural welding within a commercial vehicle maintenance environment.

You will weld, fabricate, and repair steel components for trucks, trailers, and tankers, reading drawings to ensure accurate builds with safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medium to heavy steel fabrication and welding (2mm - 10mm).
• Ability to build, tack, and fully weld fabrications from drawings.
• Strong fault-finding ability with attention to detail in fabricated structures.
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Job Title: HGV Welder / Fabricator

Location: Glasgow

Salary: Up to £21.75 DOE

Shift Pattern: 45 Hours per week

Weeks 1 & 2: Monday - Thursday | 7am - 7pm

Weeks 3 & 4: Wednesday - Saturday | 7am - 7pm

About the HGV Welder / Fabricator Role:

This is a hands-on, workshop-based role focused on high-quality fabrication and structural welding within a commercial vehicle maintenance and refurbishment environment.

You will be responsible for:

• Welding and fabrication of commercial vehicle bodies and chassis
• Structural repair and refurbishment work
• Fabrication of steel components for trucks, trailers, and tankers
• Working from engineering drawings to produce accurate builds
• Ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship

What We're Looking For:
