Job summary

Job Advert in Ipswich, Suffolk, is seeking a welder fabricator for a permanent role. The position offers a 37.5 hour week, with a half-day finish on Fridays, and a starting salary around £30,000 plus overtime.

You will read and interpret engineering drawings to determine welding requirements, perform MIG and TIG welds on heavy metal plates, operate basic fabrication machinery, and maintain accurate records of work performed. Overtime is paid at time and a half and regularly available.

Job description

We are looking for a welder fabricator for a permanent position local to Ipswich, Suffolk.
Hours: 37.5 hour week with a half day finish on Fridays!
Salary:£30,000+
Overtime: Paid at time & 1/2 & regularly available
Contract: Permanent position

The company specialise in the production of plant equipment for the construction industry so anyone who has previous engineering experience plant equipment, engines, forklifts, construction equipment etc would be of extreme interest, however this is not essential.

Duties are as follows: -

• As a welder you will be required to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine welding requirements, dimensions and welding positions
• MIG & TIG Welding to various thickness's
• Perform various welding techniques to join heavy metal plates and components together based on specifications
• Maintain accurate records of work performed
• Operating basic fabrication machinery daily
