Job Advert on the outskirts of Stowmarket, Suffolk is seeking a TIG Welder for a hands-on fabrication role in a specialist engineering firm. Immediate start, temp-to-perm, own transport essential. Overtime regularly available at enhanced rates.

The position involves welding, fabricating architectural metalwork, reading drawings and operating workshop machinery. 40-hour week, Mon-Fri 08:00-17:00, potential pay review after 3 months.

We are recruiting a TIG Welder to join a small, specialist engineering firm on the outskirts of Stowmarket, Suffolk. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with an immediate start. Due to the location, own transport is required.

OVERTIME REGULARLY AVAILABLE AT ENHANCED RATES OF PAY!

The company produces high-quality architectural metalwork, working on both bespoke one-off pieces and larger batch orders. This is a hands-on fabrication role requiring a flexible and adaptable approach to varied work.

TIG Welder Duties:

• TIG welding, fabricating and assembling architectural metalwork
• Cutting, grinding, drilling, bending and fettling materials
• Reading engineering drawings and using workshop machinery
• Ensuring work meets the required quality and finish standards

Skills & Requirements:

• TIG welding and fabrication experience
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail with a flexible approach to varied work
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team; own transport essential

Additional Information:

• Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00
• 40-hour working week
• £16.00 p/hour, depending on experience
• Overtime available at enhanced rates
• Temporary to permanent opportunity
• Potential pay review after 3 months
