Job summary

Prime Appointments Halstead is seeking an experienced TIG/MIG Welder Fabricator to join a well-established UK manufacturing business on a day shift. You will weld aluminium and stainless steel from engineering drawings, using jigs and fixtures to produce accurate fabrications.

The role involves regular overtime at 1.5x, a profit-related bonus scheme, and generous holiday entitlement, including 25 days plus public holidays and an extra 3 days for long service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a TIG/MIG Welder Fabricator.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Good understanding of health & safety practices.

TIG / MIG Welder Fabricator - Halstead - Day Shift - Full Time - Competitive Pay £16p.h

We are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG / MIG Welder Fabricator to join a well-established UK manufacturing business. The company specialises in the design and manufacture of high-performance air intake systems, water droplet separators and mist eliminators, supplying products into sectors including marine, offshore, defence, power generation and heavy industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TIG / MIG Welder Fabricator looking to join a skilled production team, working on specialist products and bespoke manufacturing projects.

About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the manufacture, fitting and TIG welding of aluminium and stainless-steel components. You will work from engineering drawings and use jigs and fixtures to produce accurate, high-quality fabrications.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a TIG / MIG Welder Fabricator
• Strong TIG welding experience with aluminium and stainless steel

• Solid welding or fabrication background
• Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Strong understanding of health & safety

Desirable (for top salary bracket)

• MIG welding experience with aluminium and stainless steel
• Welding coding or relevant qualifications
• Experience using jigs and fixtures
• Marine, offshore, defence or heavy industry experience
