Aeropeople Limited in Glasgow is seeking a skilled Welder to join a leading defence and aerospace client on-site. You'll perform carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum welding across multiple processes in a busy shipbuilding environment.
The role involves working a varied shift pattern with opportunities for overtime and a comprehensive benefits package; you must hold SVQ3/Trade papers and demonstrate high-quality welds meeting NDE standards.
Salary: £40,016 per annum + shift allowance + overtime

We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Welder. The role will be based in Glasgow and will require the successful candidate to be on site full time working a varied shift pattern (please see details below).

The company is at the forefront of designing and building world‑leading naval ships. Their work is vital to supporting the security and defence of nations around the globe and they pride themselves on delivering high‑quality and innovative solutions. As part of a growing team, they are looking for a talented and experienced Welder to join them in delivering eight Type 26 frigates to the Royal Navy.
Working in teams of 6‑12, you will apply SVQ Level 3 expertise to produce high quality, complex welding solutions that make a meaningful impact.

All successful candidates will be required to attend a Trade test which will be held in Glasgow.
You will also be required to submit your trade certificates after an initial phone call with our recruiter.
Due to the nature of our client’s business you must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years
