Job summary

National Trust is seeking a friendly Welcome Team Member to greet visitors, share information about the property and ensure everyone has an enjoyable visit at Thames Valley properties including Basildon Park, Greys Court and Nuffield Place.

You’ll deliver warm customer service, answer questions, promote memberships and donations, and help run the visitor shuttle buggy to keep access smooth for all guests. Shift pattern is 22.5 hours over 3 days a week, with weekend work.

Summary

As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.

Salary: £15,502.50

Contract/duration: Permanent

Hours/working pattern: 22.5 hours/3 days a week. includes weekend work, bank holidays, possible evening work

What It's Like To Work Here

Reporting to Hamish the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of the Welcome team working at the Thames Valley Group which includes the following properties: Basildon Park, Greys Court and Nuffield Place.

What You'll Be Doing

Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion - no two days are the same. Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with enthusiasm for delivering great customer service.

You will be involved in Growing support for the National Trust whether that be securing donations for projects through great conversations to signing visitors up for membership. You will also be responsible for the running the visitor shuttle buggy to ensure our properties continue to be more as accessible to our visitors.
