Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking a weighbridge operator to manage vehicle check-in/out, ensure compliance paperwork, and support loading of waste. The role requires attention to safety, good communication with drivers, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

The successful candidate will handle paperwork, report any loads contamination, and contribute to efficient site operations while maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and drivers.

Qualifications

• Computer literate and able to use standard office software
• Familiar with Environmental permit CMS systems
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrates resilience and can work under pressure
• Clear communication when dealing with drivers

Responsibilities

• Weighbridge cover/ booking in and out of vehicles
• Ensuring all paperwork is compliant and drivers have correct PPE upon weighing in
• Filling of tickets
• Reporting contamination of loads
• Assist in loading bulkers and pushing waste piles up (when yellow plant trained)
• Reporting safety concerns/ near misses
• Traffic Management
• Organization skills
