Job summary

Smart Solutions (Recruitment) Limited is seeking a reliable Weighbridge Operator to join a busy waste and recycling site in the NP11 area near Newport. You will operate the weighbridge, accurately recording waste movements and assisting with the safe and efficient flow of vehicles around the site.

You will also check and record vehicle and waste information, direct drivers to loading areas, and carry out related administrative duties while adhering to Health & Safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience operating weighbridge systems and recording weights accurately.
• Strong record-keeping and administrative skills.
• Ability to direct drivers and manage vehicle movements safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge system to record weights for incoming/outgoing waste vehicles.
• Record and verify waste movements in the site management system.
• Direct drivers to loading/unloading areas and maintain safe traffic flow.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, operatives and management.
• Complete required paperwork and administrative duties.
• Follow all site Health & Safety procedures.
