Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Weighbridge Clerk to oversee daily weighbridge activities and coordinate transport operations at Bryaford. You will act as a key contact for drivers and customers, maintaining records and ensuring compliance.

You will support efficient, safe site movements and collaborate with operations teams, planners and maintenance to optimise transport resources. Training and development opportunities are offered within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience coordinating driver and fleet resources.
• Strong IT and administrative skills.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Ability to make informed decisions with sound judgement.
• Strong communication skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily weighbridge activities and coordinate transport operations.
• Coordinate fleet and driver resources to maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Liaise with customers, drivers, planners and operations teams to ensure deliveries are on time.
• Maintain accurate transport records and databases.
• Support centralised transport plans and site movements.
• Supervise drivers and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance, planning offices and sites.
• Conduct site inductions as required.
• Monitor and investigate customer complaints and actions taken.
• Analyse tachograph records and maintain them.
• Enforce vehicle presentation and housekeeping standards.
• Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and IMS procedures.
