Job summary

Wynnstay Group PLC at the Llansantffraid site is seeking a highly organised Weighbridge Operator to manage vehicle movements, record weighings and coordinate deliveries, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient site operations.

You will also provide administrative support across transport, logistics and compliance, assist with sampling and accreditation, and liaise with drivers and colleagues to keep the site running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to record and process information accurately in a busy operational environment.
• Confident communication skills to provide clear instructions to drivers, colleagues and visitors.
• Experience operating a weighbridge or working in transport/logistics/agricultural/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the Llansantffraid weighbridge accurately, safely and efficiently.
• Record arrival, weighing and departure of bulk vehicles with documentation.
• Book deliveries onto site and ensure vehicles arrive/depart in line with schedule.
• Act as first point of contact for drivers; provide clear briefings on site rules and procedures.
• Check weighbridge information and documentation for accuracy; investigate discrepancies.
• Support administration of transport activities and maintain accurate records.
• Learn and use routing and operational systems to improve cost-effectiveness.
• Assist with checking, sampling and accreditation of feed/materials via laboratory processes.
• Liaise with transport colleagues and Wynnstay sites to coordinate deliveries.
• Respond to driver, customer and internal enquiries professionally and promptly.
• Maintain service standards, safety and site cleanliness with colleagues.
• Monitor operational information and provide updates to the Transport Manager.
• Identify and escalate irregularities, safety concerns or risks.
• Support continuous improvement of weighbridge, transport and admin processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
