Blackpointrecruitment in Ware, Hertfordshire is seeking a Weighbridge Operator to support safe and efficient site operations on an ongoing basis at £12.71 per hour. This is a varied hands-on role including weighbridge duties, general administration, site cleaning, litter picking and assisting with day-to-day site operations.

Hours: Mon-Fri 9:00 am – 5:30 pm; Sat 7:00 am – 4:00 pm; Sun 7:00 am – 12:00 pm. You will operate the weighbridge, manage waste documentation, and provide a courteous

Qualifications

• Experience with weighbridge operations is preferred.
• Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge and book vehicles in and out of site.
• Maintain records in line with Duty of Care and waste management.
• Perform site cleaning and administrative duties.
• Provide courteous service to customers, drivers and subcontractors.
• Log soil samples where required and support day-to-day operations.
• Work safely and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Support Site Supervisor and other site colleagues; assist other sites if needed.

Job description

We are actively looking for a Weighbridge operator in Ware - Hertfordshire to work for our client on an ongoing basis at £12.71 per hour.

As a Weighbridge Operative you will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of the site. You’ll be responsible for operating the weighbridge, managing waste documentation, and providing a professional and helpful service to customers and drivers, while ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Site Operative. This is a varied hands on role, involving a little bit of everything, including weighbridge duties, general administration, site cleaning, litter picking and assisting with day to day site operations. We are looking for someone who is flexible, willing to learn, takes pride in their work and most importantly, has a positive attitude and a strong willingness to work.

What will you be doing?

• Operating the weighbridge system, booking vehicles in and out of site
• Maintaining accurate records in line with Duty of Care and waste management requirements
• Site cleaning
• Administrative duties
• Providing a courteous, helpful and efficient service to customers, drivers and subcontractors
• Keeping the weighbridge office and surrounding area clean and tidy
• Logging and managing soil samples where required
• Working safely at all times and reporting accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions
• Supporting the Site Supervisor and wider site team with day-to-day operations
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required, including supporting other sites if needed

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
• Saturday: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Sunday: 7:00 am – 12:00 pm
