FCC Environment in Hull is seeking a Weighbridge Operator to weigh loads accurately, manage documentation, and support site operations. The role involves controlling site traffic, data entry, and frontline duties in a busy waste management site.

The ideal candidate has weighbridge or admin experience, strong numerical accuracy, good IT skills (Microsoft Office), and a focus on safety and compliance. This is a full-time role based in Hull.

Responsibilities

• Controlling all traffic entering and leaving the site.
• Weighing incoming and outgoing loads with correct docs.
• Checking waste carrier licences and permits.
• Completing waste transfer notes and hazardous waste docs.
• Reporting non-conforming loads to management.
• Filing paperwork and distributing documentation.
• Reception and front-of-house duties.
• Producing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• General administrative duties.
• Inducting visitors and contractors and maintaining site sign-in.
• Communicating with plant operators and site management.
• Complying with IMS and site procedures.
• Maintaining professional image and customer service.
• Undertaking other reasonable duties as required.

Hours: 37.50 hours per week

Location: Hull, HU8 8AU

As a Weighbridge Operator at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for ensuring all incoming and outgoing loads are weighed accurately, accompanied by the correct documentation, and processed efficiently. You will play a key role in controlling site traffic movements, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Controlling all traffic movements entering and leaving the site
• Accurately weighing incoming and outgoing loads using the correct information and documentation
• Checking waste carrier licences and relevant permits
• Ensuring waste transfer notes and hazardous waste documentation are completed correctlyReporting non-conforming loads or discrepancies to management
• Filing paperwork and distributing documentation appropriately
• Carrying out reception and front-of-house duties to company standards
• Producing daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
• Completing general administrative duties
• Inducting visitors and contractors and maintaining site sign-in procedures
• Communicating with plant operators and site management teams
• Complying with Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and site procedures
• Maintaining a professional image and providing excellent customer service
• Undertaking any other reasonable duties as required
