Veolia is seeking an weighbridge operator at the Battlefield Plastics Recycling Facility in Shrewsbury. You will operate and maintain the weighbridge, record vehicle weights, and ensure proper waste acceptance procedures are followed, with weekly/monthly export records and driver inductions.

You will liaise with the site operations team, keep the weighbridge office tidy, support administrative tasks, and handle customer queries while adhering to health and safety policies.

Competenze

• Excellent IT skills.
• Similar administration experience within a busy operational function.
• Good knowledge of health and safety.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.
• Be willing to be trained to operate an FLT.

Mansioni

• Operate and maintain the weighbridge system and accurately record vehicle weights entering and leaving the site.
• Ensure procedures are followed for acceptance of waste, weighing of vehicles and sale of materials.
• Complete accurate records for export and extract statistics weekly/monthly.
• Liaise with site operations team to ensure efficiency of the operations.
• Provide inductions and instructions to drivers of vehicles entering and leaving site.
• Maintain a tidy weighbridge office environment.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with administrative tasks as required.
• Handle customer queries and provide excellent service.
• Report weighbridge malfunctions or issues promptly.
• Operate a teletruk FLT – training provided.
