Job summary

Veolia Group in Skelmersdale, Lancashire is hiring a Weighbridge Operator at Whitemoss Landfill. You will control vehicle entry and exit, weigh vehicles with site software, and ensure accurate waste documentation.

The role is 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a £32,268.60 annual salary plus Veolia benefits. We offer 25 days annual leave, pension, discounts, health resources, 24-hour GP, volunteering day, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience using weighbridge and site software.
• Experience recording vehicle weights and waste details.
• Knowledge of waste documentation and hazardous waste notes.
• Knowledge of ADR licence requirements and hazardous waste procedures.
• Experience in weighbridge, waste or site administration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Control vehicle entry and exit at the hazardous waste site.
• Weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles using site weighbridge software.
• Record vehicle, load and waste acceptance information.
• Check licences and documentation as required.
• Verify waste transfer notes and hazardous waste paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with site acceptance criteria and safety rules.
• Direct vehicles and communicate with site staff and drivers.
