Job summary

Numatic International in Chard, Somerset, invites a Weekend Warehouse Team Leader to join the warehouse team. This is a hands-on leadership role coordinating daily activities, supporting the Warehouse Supervisor, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

You will oversee picking, packing and dispatch to deliver excellent service, motivate the team and uphold quality and safety standards. Experience in warehouse or distribution, strong communication, and a proactive approach required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a warehouse or logistics team.
• Experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or distribution.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Willing to work weekends and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Support the Supervisor with day-to-day warehouse activities.
• Maintain clear team goals and delegate tasks effectively.
• Ensure Health & Safety, Environmental legislation and SOPs are followed.
• Identify and resolve operational issues and escalate when needed.
• Provide constructive feedback and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee inductions, probation reviews and training to develop staff.
• Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Promote a positive, engaged, high-performing team culture.
