Job summary

CVS Vets in Maidenhead is seeking a Weekend Veterinary Patient Care Assistant to join our team and support RVNs and Vets with patient care. The role is 19 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, with shifts 09:00–19:30; salary paid at national minimum wage.

You'll be part of CVS Vets-owned practice and contribute to high standards of animal welfare, client service and teamwork in a busy veterinary environment. Full training provided and opportunity to develop skills within a supportive network.

• Experience in customer service and public interaction.
• Ability to handle emotional situations with kindness and professionalism.
• Strong communication skills and genuine empathy.
• Experience in animal welfare, including feeding, cleaning and handling.

Responsibilities

• Providing nursing care to our patients
• Assisting Vets and Nurses with animal restraint
• Walking, feeding, and cleaning patients
• Preparing emergency and operating facilities
• Performing general cleaning and maintenance
• Running internal lab samples
• Answering emergency calls
• Supporting the reception team when needed, including booking appointments and processing payments

About The Role

The Patient Care Assistant position is crucial in any veterinary practice. You'll support our skilled RVN's and Vets in providing exceptional care to our animal patients.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
