Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Transport Planner to lead weekend operations in Raunds, coordinating between drivers, operations and customers to ensure deliveries land on time and PODs are returned promptly.

The role is part-time (30 hours weekly, Fri-Sun 06:00-16:30) with a salary up to £21,000 per year, plus pension, private medical and other benefits. You will track deliveries, manage driver resourcing and liaise with customers for accurate bookings.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail with accuracy in figures and charges.
• Experience of cost control and budgeting with variance reporting.
• Good geographical experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build relationships with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Track daily deliveries using vehicle tracking systems.
• Download all customer orders promptly each day.
• Complete vehicle resourcing to ensure full manning.
• Liaise with site to maintain a supply of agency drivers.
• Coordinate with customers to ensure booking times are correct to enable full fleet utilisation.
• Request booking time changes in a timely manner with the customer.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate updates to the Transport Manager.
