Job summary

Brook Street Social Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide one-to-one care for a male adult with a brain injury in the Keynsham area. The role covers home and community support, promoting independence and social inclusion, and requires a driver with a full UK licence.

Shifts run Saturday and Sunday 9:00am–5:00pm with potential 2–3 weekday evenings as the package develops; enhance wellbeing, dignity, and personal interests through person-centred support.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK driving licence.
• Experience supporting individuals who have sustained a brain injury.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, resilient, and adaptable with a person-centred mindset.
• Able to work independently and use initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for a male adult at home and in the community.
• Promote independence, wellbeing and social inclusion.
• Accompany the individual to appointments and community activities.
• Support engagement in hobbies and interests and provide practical and emotional support.
• Uphold dignity, choice and person-centred care.
