Job summary

Brook Street Social Care is recruiting a dedicated Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for a male adult living in Keynsham, Bristol.

This role focuses on brain injury recovery, promoting independence, wellbeing and community involvement through home and community visits, appointments, hobbies, and practical and emotional support. Hours are weekends 9:00–5:00 with potential for additional evening shifts as the support package develops.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Previous experience supporting individuals with brain injuries
• Patient, resilient and adaptable with strong communication
• Ability to work independently and use initiative

Responsibilities

• Support the individual at home and in the community
• Promote independence, wellbeing and social inclusion
• Accompany to appointments and accompany community activities
• Assist with hobbies and interests and provide practical support
• Provide emotional support and personal care as required
