Job summary

JOBS247 INC LTD is seeking a Sous Chef for weekends-only, reporting to the Head Chef and Food & Beverage Manager. You will supervise a team of chefs and kitchen porters, oversee daily food production, and ensure menus are executed to specification.

You will also assist in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating kitchen staff, support the culinary team and banquet functions, and uphold the highest hygiene and safety standards. Hours are 16 per week, with weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a kitchen team and ensuring food quality.
• Ability to coordinate with events and sales teams for production planning.
• Experience hiring, training, and evaluating kitchen staff.
• Proven track record of maintaining hygiene, safety, and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise chefs and kitchen porters; oversee daily food production.

• Support budgeting for food and labour; monitor wastage and stock rotation.
