Job summary

Hallmark Luxury Care Homes is seeking a Sous Chef to join our bighearted team, working with the Head Chef to elevate dining for residents using fresh seasonal ingredients to craft nutritious, flavourful menus.

You’ll lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, develop innovative menus, manage stock and budgets, and uphold HACCP standards to ensure the highest hygiene. We offer development opportunities and a supportive, caring work environment.

Qualifications

• Warm, personable approach focused on residents' well-being.
• Culinary qualifications as listed (City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent).
• Understanding of nutrition and use of fresh, seasonal ingredients.
• Engages with residents to design appetising and nutritious menus.
• Maintains HACCP and high hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Kitchen leadership in Head Chef's absence.
• Assist in developing innovative and enticing menus.
• Use fresh produce to craft high-quality, wholesome dishes.
