Job summary

DS Smith Plc on the Kettering site is seeking a Weekend Shift Engineer to coordinate and perform preventative and reactive maintenance to keep production running and ensure asset reliability. You will also manage spare parts and expedite support to restore production within agreed timescales.

The ideal candidate is a fully qualified Electrical or Mechanical engineer with NVQ Level 3 or a BTEC, with proven experience in PPM, Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Root Cause analysis in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrical or Mechanical engineer with relevant accreditation.
• Experience implementing and controlling preventative maintenance plans (PPM).
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement techniques (5S, RCA).
• Experience in a fast-paced, multi-shift manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct routine preventative and reactive asset maintenance.
• Manage routine maintenance, spare parts inventory and expedites to return equipment to production.
• Ensure health and safety standards and compliance with SSOW and procedures.
• Document comprehensive maintenance records and KPIs for safety, quality and productivity.
• Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with site processes.
