Job summary

Yorkshire Trading Company is seeking a Weekend Team Member for our Barnard Castle store. The role focuses on restocking, merchandising and customer service, with cash handling responsibilities. Part-time weekend hours and pro rata holiday entitlement are offered.

The position is 14 hours at weekends only, potentially suitable for students. Training will be provided for till operations, and staff receive a discount after a successful induction period.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Ability to restock and merchandize effectively.
• Friendly, approachable with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• Maintain a fully stocked store
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Welcome and greet customers
• Process sales through our Epos till system - Training given
• Actively involved in receiving deliveries
• Keep up to date with product information
• Accurately describe product features and benefits
• Follow all companies policies and procedures

Yorkshire Trading Company are a family owned and run business with 38 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East; a busy E:Commerce operation and outdoor events teams who trade nationwide.

We have an opening for a weekend team member in our Barnard Castle store.

The role will include but is not exhaustive, restocking, merchandising and customer service, cash handling.

The position offered is: 14 hours Weekends Only (may suit college students)

Our goal is to provide high class customer service and to increase the company’s growth and revenue through sales maximisation
