Job summary

Yorkshire Trading Company in Whitby is seeking a Retail Store Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at our Whitby store. This part-time role offers 32 hours over 4 days, including weekend shifts on a rota basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager with day-to-day operations.
• Deputise as store manager when required (key holder).
• Support training of retail colleagues, including cashiers and stock staff.
• Work on displays, stock rotation and put away items.
• Maintain knowledge of products, services and promotions.
• Handle customer questions and resolve issues.
• Direct customers to racks and offer high-quality service.
• Contribute to team targets and store goals.
• Perform cashing up duties when needed.
• Ensure pricing accuracy and signage.

Yorkshire Trading Company, are a growing family owned run business with 38 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire & the North East; a busy ecommerce operation and Outdoor Events teams who trade nationwide.

We have an opportunity for a Retail Store Supervisor to join the team in our Whitby Store.

The position is based on:

• 32 Hours over 4 days, to include some weekends on a rota basis
• The ideal candidate would benefit from being flexible as additional hours may be required at busy times

Duties to include but are not limited to:

• - To assist the store manager in the day to day running of the store
• - Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager (key holder)
• - Support in the management and training of retail colleagues, including cashiers and the replenishment team working on the shop floor.
• - Work on store displays / stock rotation and put away
• - Keep up-to-date with all of our products, services and promotions.
• - Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues
• - Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters suggesting items, delivering great, traditional customer service
• - Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• - Cashing up duties as and when required
• - Ensure pricing is correct.
