Job summary

ACS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Part-time Chef to join a retirement community in Wootton, Bedford. The role is weekend-only, Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00am to 2:00pm, with a permanent contract and a salary of £9,762.81 per year.

You will prepare and serve nutritious meals, plan menus, ensure dietary requirements are met, and maintain high kitchen hygiene and safety standards. You will work alongside the Catering Manager to deliver quality dining experiences for residents and visitors,

Qualifications

• Experience in professional catering or kitchen environments.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards.
• Ability to prepare meals meeting dietary and cultural requirements.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve fresh meals to residents and guests.
• Support varied menus using seasonal ingredients.
• Ensure on-time service and high hygiene standards.
• Assist with stock control and cost management.
• Monitor deliveries and maintain stock records.
• Follow safety procedures and report maintenance issues.
