Job summary

Ayrshire Independent Living Network is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant to support a non-verbal 8-year-old girl with autism and epilepsy in Kilmarnock. The role involves 5 hours per week on Saturdays, starting at 9:30am, with a focus on safe, engaging community activities and promoting independence.

You will work closely with the family, follow care plans, and provide sensitive, patient support. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential, with PVG arranged by the

Qualifications

Female, in line with family preference.
Driver with access to own car and full UK license.
Comfortable following care plans and epilepsy safety guidance.
Experience with autism/epilepsy or complex needs is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one support, care and supervision.
Support Ella to enjoy outings, play activities and experiences in the community.
Understand and respond to her communication, sensory and individual needs.
Follow her epilepsy care plan and relevant safety procedures.
Support personal care needs, including toileting and changing, as required.
Encourage independence and help Ella enjoy new experiences.
Maintain constant, close supervision and ensure her safety at all times.
