Job summary

AILN is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant to support an 8-year-old girl in Kilmarnock. The role involves driving, one-to-one care, and facilitating safe, enjoyable community activities on Saturdays. Training can be provided for epilepsy safety and care plans, with PVG arranged by the employer.

The position runs 5 hours weekly, starting at 9:30am, at a rate of £13.45 per hour, paid by the family. The role requires reliability, energy, and a patient, caring approach with a proactive

Qualifications

• Female, in line with the family’s preference.
• Driver with access to own car and a full, valid UK driving licence.
• Experience with children with additional needs preferred but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support, care and supervision.
• Support outings, play activities and community experiences for Ella.
• Understand and respond to her communication, sensory and individual needs.
• Follow her epilepsy care plan and safety procedures.
• Assist with personal care needs as required (toileting and changing).
• Encourage independence and new experiences while maintaining safety.
