Job summary

Ayrshire Independent Living Network is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to support a friendly, non-verbal 16-year-old living in Ayr. The role focuses on one-to-one care, enabling participation in community activities while promoting safety and independence.

Responsibilities include accompanying the young person to outings, assisting with personal care, and helping manage daily routines. Driving is essential; a full UK license and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Access to a vehicle is essential.
• Experience in care roles is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for a non-verbal 16-year-old living in Ayr area.
• Assist the young person with shopping, outings, and community activities to promote independence.
• Provide personal care support (washing, dressing, eating) as required.
• Help with moving/assisting to reduce fall risk during seizures and respond calmly in health situations.
