Job summary

The Hoste Arms in Burnham Market is seeking a Weekend Night Porter to join our hospitality team. You will work on weekend nights from 10pm to 8am, greet guests, manage late check-ins, and ensure rooms meet our standards. The role includes bar service for residents and assisting with breakfast setup.

We value a friendly, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills who can work independently when needed and help maintain guest safety and service excellence during the night.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, check in late arrivals and handle guest requests.

• Provide residents bar service until 12pm.
• Assist with cellar upkeep and routine health and safety checks/audits.
• Support night-time security and ensure guest safety throughout the night.

What we look for in a Night Porter:

As the successful Weekend Night Porter you will have a passion to deliver exceptional customer service every time, with a friendly outgoing personality, be self-motivated and willing to work alone at times. You will have experience working in a similar environment, have excellent communication skills and an impeccable eye for detail.

Our Night Porters play an important role in ensuring the safety of our guests and the security of our pub and hotel throughout the night. You will be responsible for dealing with any guest requests, greeting and checking in late arrivals and maintaining room standards. As Night Porter you will also set up for breakfast service, provide residents bar service (until 12pm), assist with cellar upkeep and carry out any health and safety checks & audits as necessary. Expected hours are generally Friday & Saturday evenings from 10pm through until 8am in a normal week. You may be required to help with midweek holiday cover throughout the year if possible.
