Job summary

Encompassborders in Kelso is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant / Support Worker to help with weekend morning routines in the gentleman’s home. You will support a calm start to the day, handling personal care with dignity and sensitivity.

The role covers two hours per weekend (1 hour on Saturday and 1 hour on Sunday) between 8:00am and 9:00am, at a rate of £14.05 per hour, with references and disclosure checks part of the appointment process.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care is desirable.
• Experience working with older people or individuals with additional support needs is beneficial.
• Caring and respectful approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with morning routine.
• Provide personal care and apply creams.
• Assist with dressing as required.
• Allow time for tasks and fatigue management.
• Provide patient and reassuring support.
• Promote dignity, privacy, and independence.
• Build a respectful working relationship with the gentleman.
