Job summary
MTL Advanced in Rotherham is recruiting a Level 2 Weld Inspector to join our expanding manufacturing facility near Meadowhall. You will monitor fabricator QA/QC activities, review WPS, PQR and WPQ, and provide independent welding and fabrication support to ensure high-quality output.
Ideal candidates hold PCN Welding Inspector Level 2 or equivalent, with site/field experience and strong communication. Proficiency in MS Office and a team-oriented approach are essential for daily inspection and
Qualifications
- PCN Welding Inspector Level 2 or equivalent is essential.
- PCN Level 2 MPI/DPI is preferred
- Previous experience of Welding Inspection Site/Field and Vendor Inspection Fabrication Quality Plans is essential
- Ability to generate a team approach to problem solving and a good communicator, both written and verbal is essential
- Computer literate is essential
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office is essential
Responsibilities
- Monitor QA/QC on fabrications
- Review WPS
- Review PQR
- Review WPQ
- Provide welding/fab support
- Review fabrication inspection plans
- Visually inspect weld setup and quality
- Endorse NDT reports
- Prescribe weld repairs
- Verify NDT methods
- Keep contemporaneous daily records
