Advinia Health Care in Woodstock is seeking a General Assistant to join the kitchen team, working 10 hours per week on weekends. You’ll assist with meal preparation, service to residents, and help maintain a clean, compliant kitchen environment under the Head Chef.

Qualifications

• To be successful in this role, you'll need relevant catering knowledge and a basic understanding of COSHH and HACCP.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting catering staff with preparation and cooking of meals.
• Serving Residents, staff and visitors with food and beverages.
• Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.
• Ensuring areas and equipment are cleaned and stored correctly.
• Ensuring kitchen meets hygiene standards and policies.
• Liaising with the wider team regarding dietary and planned meals.

As a General Assistant you will be:

• Assisting catering staff with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.

• Serving Residents, staff and visitors with food and beverages.

• Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.

• Ensuring that all areas, equipment and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly.

• As part of the catering team, ensuring the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the company’s policies and procedures.

• Liaising with the wider team, including dietitians regarding dietary and planned meals 

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Relevant Catering Qualification (Desirable)

• Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP

• Experience of working within similar role.

•  Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Location: Woodstock Care Home

You will work alongside the multidisciplinary service to promote great food service.
