Job summary

ADVINIA HEALTH CARE is seeking a General Assistant to support the kitchen team in meal preparation and service at a healthcare setting in the United Kingdom. You will assist with deliveries, maintain hygiene, and help with stock control, while enjoying a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assisting catering staff with preparation and cooking of meals.
• Serving Residents, staff and visitors with food and beverages.
• Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.
• Ensuring areas, equipment and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly.
• Ensuring kitchen and areas meet hygiene standards and comply with policies.
• Liaising with dietitians and wider team for dietary and meal planning.

As a General Assistant you will be:

• Assisting catering staff with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
• Serving Residents, staff and visitors with food and beverages.
• Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.
• Ensuring that all areas, equipment and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly.
• As part of the catering team, ensuring the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the company's policies and procedures.
• Liaising with the wider team, including dietitians regarding dietary and planned meals, You will work alongside the multidisciplinary service to promote great food service.

Relevant Catering Qualification (Desirable)

• Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP
• Experience of working within similar role.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Hourly rate of £12.71 per hour
