The position is part-time with evening hours in the United Kingdom. Successful candidates will have completed Alim/Alima and Qiraat courses and will participate in ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent (Preferred).
  • Qualified in Islamic Studies: Alim/Alima or equivalent.
  • Qiraat course completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Islamic Studies and Arabic Grammar.
  • Teach students aged 16 and above using provided materials.
  • Complete syllabus within the given time frame.
  • Follow the prescribed teaching timetable.
  • Prepare students for mid-term and annual exams.
  • Engage with students to make learning enjoyable.
  • Maintain high standards of education aligned with organisational expectations.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of Islamic Studies and Arabic Grammar.
  • Update skills via ongoing training and professional development.
  • Work independently and identify new opportunities.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and speech.

The Role
  • Plan and deliver innovative and engaging lessons in Islamic Studies and Arabic Grammar

  • Completion of syllabus within the given time frame

  • Prepare students for mid-term and annual examinations
  • By following the prescribed teaching timetable
  • Excellent knowledge of Islamic Studies and Arabic Grammar
  • Passionate about raising achievement and providing the best possible Islamic education for all children
  • Ability to work on own initiative and identify new opportunities
  • Ability to relate well to young people and adults
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good standard of IT skills
  • Participate in ongoing training for continued professional development (organizational & professional)

  • Successfully completed Alim/Alima course or a similar Islamic course
  • Successfully completed Qiraat course
  • Ongoing training will be provided

Selection Process
  • Candidates will be shortlisted using the job description and personal specifications
  • References will be taken up (at least one from the previous employer)
  • Pass in house Teaching Test
  • Clarifications will be sought on any discrepancies
  • Either face-to-face or telephone interview will be conducted
  • Any offers made will be subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and completion of mandatory e-modules prior to starting the job

Start Date

As soon as clear enhanced DBS is received and Mandatory online modules have been completed by the candidate.
