Job summary

Avara Foods Ltd is hiring Weekend Hygiene Operatives for the Hereford site. You will support the Hygiene team to achieve food safety and hygiene standards, reporting to the Team Leader on shift.

Ideal candidates have basic numeracy and good English, work well in a team and can maintain high attention to detail. Training is provided, with guaranteed hours and overtime opportunities on weekends.

Qualifications

• Good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to hygiene standards and assist the Hygiene team.
• Follow health and safety and food safety rules at all times.
• Meet individual and department targets and use materials efficiently.
• Co-operate in continuous improvement of quality, safety and productivity.
• Manual handling of plant and equipment and isolation of machinery
• Meet housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team.

About the Role:

Do you want to earn a minimum of £225 per week? We’re recruiting for Weekend Hygiene Operatives to join the team at our site in Hereford, Herefordshire!

Working Hours:

Sat 11:00-19:00/ Sun 21:00-0500

About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will play an instrumental part in achieving the required hygiene standards with the Hygiene team for Avara Foods. You will adhere to health and safety at all times and follow all tasks in line with food safety rules.

Duties include :

• Understanding and attainment of both individual and department targets.
• Awareness of the usage of material and energy sources.
• Co-operate in the continuous improvement of quality, safety and productivity standards.
• Manual handling of plant and equipment
• Isolation of plant and machinery
• To meet housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team.
• Compliance with food safety and HSE guidelines
• To carry out instructions as given to you by your Team Leader/Management
