Job summary

The Police Treatment Centres in St Andrews (Harrogate) is seeking a Weekend Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our frontline housekeeping team. This hands-on role requires keen attention to detail and strong communication, with previous housekeeping and laundry experience preferred.

You will deputize for the Head Housekeeper, supervise daily cleaning, support recruitment and training, manage stock and IT system rollout, and help prepare Centre events.

Qualifications

• Conscientious and reliable with excellent attention to detail.
• Previous housekeeping and laundry experience preferred.
• Able to deputize for the Head Housekeeper when required.
• Strong communication and supervisory skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the housekeeping team on the shop floor.
• Check all areas meet the Centre's standards throughout the day.
• Self-catering properties to be checked after turnover.
• Assist with recruitment, induction and training of team members.
• Responsible for stock control, purchasing and the asset register, liaising with the Head Housekeeper.
• Assist in the preparation of events held within the Centre.
• Implement and train the team on the new IT system.

£14.70 per hour

35 hours per week

(Thursday and Friday 07.00-14.30; Saturday and Sunday 07.30-15.00; Monday 07.00-14.30)

Weekend Housekeeping Supervisor

We are looking for a conscientious, reliable individual with excellent attention to detail and good communication skills to supervise our dynamic team. This is a hands‑on role, out on the floor where previous experience of housekeeping and laundry is preferred.

• Providing support as directed and deputizing in the absence of the Head Housekeeper
• Checking all areas, including bedrooms, throughout the day, ensuring they are cleaned to the PTC standards.
• Self-catering properties to be checked following turn outs.
• Assist with recruitment, induction and training of new and existing team members.
• Responsible for stock control, purchasing and the asset register, liaising with the Head Housekeeper
• Assist in the preparation of events held within the Centre.
• Implementation, training and support to the housekeeping team of the new IT system
