Job summary

LQ Resorts is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join the Housekeeping team. You will work midweek and weekends, cleaning guest rooms, corridors and public areas to the highest standards, ensuring guest satisfaction and timely room readiness.

Candidates should be flexible, reliable and capable of working under pressure with a neat appearance, following safety procedures and the resort's policies. Training opportunities and staff benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality is preferred.
  • Ability to deliver high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Clean all hotel and guest rooms, corridors, public areas and back-of-house areas.
  • Strip beds, empty bins and replace towels.
  • Ensure cleaning meets company standards and safety policies.
  • Replenish guest amenities and restock supplies.
  • Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally.
  • Report maintenance issues in rooms.
  • Maintain cleaning efficiency and room turnover on schedule.

Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant

Department: Housekeeping

Reporting To: Housekeeping Manager

About The Role

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager and working as part of a small team, the successful candidate will have a flexible approach to work and will perform a variety of cleaning tasks across the resort to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained. Candidates will work well under pressure to complete tasks on time with a commitment to providing the best guest experience at all times.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Clean all hotel and guest bedrooms, corridors, public areas and back‑of‑house areas.
  • Strip beds, empty bins and collect dirty bathroom towels.
  • Ensure cleaning meets company standards.
  • Replenish guest amenities when required.
  • Respond to any guest requests.
  • Report any maintenance issues within the rooms.
  • Replenish work trolleys and clean linen daily.
  • Maintain consistency in cleaning each room.
  • Work quickly and efficiently so guest rooms are ready on time.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, including wearing a clean uniform.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook, including department‑specific procedures.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures.
