Job summary

ICare Group in the Cheshire area is seeking a Weekend Home Care Assistant to help people stay independent at home across Helsby and Runcorn. You will provide compassionate support, assist with daily living tasks and help maintain dignity and quality of life.

Training is provided, and you will join a caring team that values kindness, reliability and community presence. You’ll travel between clients’ homes, with mileage covered and full induction.

Qualifications

• Availability to work Thursday–Sunday shifts (weekend availability).
• Willingness to travel throughout Helsby and Runcorn areas.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
• Have a valid right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Assist with washing, dressing and daily routines.
• Assist with meal preparation and nutrition.
• Provide medication prompts and support per care plans.
• Carry out wellbeing and safety checks.
• Assist with light household tasks to maintain a comfortable home.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Build positive, professional relationships with people you support.
• Promote independence, choice and person-centred care.
• Work as part of a supportive care team.
• Travel between clients' homes across the local community.
